Impact is an organizational development and training company based in Houston, Texas dedicated to the philosophy that humans are the greatest asset of any organization. Impact believes that given today’s economic climate, organizational success is completely dependent upon a company’s ability to adapt to dynamic markets, live on the cutting edge of innovation, and achieve world class implementation. In order to maintain these lofty pursuits, it is critical that organizations build a culture that is completely comfortable with and capable of employing effective communication and cooperation. Impact Staff

The Impact staff is a very strong team of well educated and experienced seasoned trainers. We all have extensive experience in many modalities of training and have executed successful programs utilizing sound Adult Learning Principles. We have all served in positions on advisory boards and boards of directors. Most of us have experience both in the academic arena as well as the public training arena. We possess a strong catalog of experiential activities to anchor any learning concept, both in the classroom and the outdoor experiential setting.

Michael Pope B.B.A., President

Michael has over 28 years of corporate management experience and 20 years of leadership development, professional development, and ropes course programming experience. His specialty is teambuilding. He has conducted training programs with many fortune 500 companies, including international programs in Venezuela and Mexico. Michael is also a Certified Professional Coach working with all levels of supervisors and managers. Michael has served five years on the Board of Directors for the Houston Chapter of the American Society of Training & Development including in the position of President in 2005. Michael is also currently under contract to conduct corporate training programs for Lone Star College in Houston, Texas. He is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Houston Business Cabinet as the President Elect.

Joe Barber M.B.A., Facilitator

Joe offers over 18 years of corporate management experience and 16 years of consulting experience. His expertise is in strategy development and execution, leadership development, and continuous improvement. He has three years experience as a certified Ropes Course facilitator. Joe facilitates “Chief Executive Boards” in several locations around the United States. This is a peer advisory group for owners and CEO’s of privately held business with $1m – $200m of annual revenue. Joe has served on the Board of Directors of several Not-for-Profit organizations such as the Bonita House of Hope in Houston, Texas.

Brian Jones M.S. Learning & Development, CPLP, Facilitator

Brian is a learning and performance professional with an extensive background in performing needs assessments, delivering high-impact training on a wide range of topics and providing personalized coaching and consulting to clients in Global and Fortune 500 companies across multiple industries. Brian has 14 years experience as a Certified Ropes Course facilitator. Brian is also a Certified Career Management Professional. He is also certified as a Certified Professional in Learning and Performance. Brian also possesses an Intermediate proficiency with Spanish and has conducted many Ropes Course programs in Spanish.

Jay Clancy M.S. Learning & Development, Facilitator

Jay has extensive and diversified experience helping organizations improve their performance in both interpersonal and technical areas. He has over 16 years experience creating performance improvement and learning programs and tools, including: instructor-led sessions, technology-based learning and multimedia tools, self-directed and mentor- directed programs, and documentation. He has over 18 years experience as a certified Ropes Course facilitator. Jay has served on numerous advisory boards and boards of directors including City of Sugar Land, Texas, University of Houston, Training and Development Masters Program Advisory Board, International Alliance for Learning (IAL), 2004 Founding Texas Chapter Director for International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI), and the Board of Directors for the Houston Chapter of the American Society for Training & Development.

Vicki Simmons LCSW

Vicki’s background is in clinical Social Work, Life, Relationship, Team, and Business Coaching. She has worked in both the corporate and mental health arenas for over twenty years. She is licensed as Social Worker and certified as a Life Coach, a Ropes Course Facilitator, and a Woman Business Owner (WEBA).

Jerry Daniels Ph.D. Education

With a Doctorate in Education, Jerry has taught in high school, community college, and at a major university (Texas A&M). He has also served as an advisor and lecturer for Texas A&M. He is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Houston Business Cabinet, a business networking group that has served Houston for more than thirty years. Jerry has recently received his certification as a Ropes Course facilitator.
