Sailing Team Building

Team Sailing Team Building

This “High Seas” adventure is a perfect venue for “High End” corporate directors and managers to work on improving cooperation and communication within their organizations. A large team will be divided into smaller teams of 4 – 6. Each team will be assigned a 36′ – 45′ yacht captained by a Coast Guard Certified Captain. Conducted in Galveston Bay, Sailing Team Building starts with reviewing the results of a team survey and establishing goals for the day, the team members in each boat will spend the morning going through the paces to learn how to “jibe” and “tack” their boats to be able to navigate their boats, even in stormy, windy waters. After mastering all the moves necessary to control their yachts, and after rotating all team members through the various roles on the yacht team, the fleet will be challenged with a “fleet” challenge that will require all the yachts in the fleet to accomplish their total organizational mission. This program will provide the opportunity for team members to rehearse all the team skills necessary to improve performance in companies, such as communication, cooperation, planning, decision making, and collaboration.

This turn-key program includes a continental Breakfast at an elegant dock-side restaurant, Team Survey Report, Goal setting session, box lunches, yachts, Captains, program debriefing, Transfer Action Planning, and Follow-up Team Meetings.
